The CG ‘DELTA’ Front Locking Action system DESCRIPTION

The CG “Delta” front locking action, internally know as ‘ DELTA Model 59’ in the C.G nomenclature is the front-locking counterpart of the now well know ‘.C.G INCH’ rear-locking single shot Match action. 

The basic Delta system is of a 3-lugs design in triangular shape. It is based on the Remington 700 Short Action footprint dimensions for the obvious reason of compatibility to numerous after market accessories existing for this model, including stocks, triggers, but also magazines for the repeater models.

 It is effectively offered in 3 versions and 2 variants:

-Delta NCT (Nickel Chromium Target)

-Delta NCR (Nickel Chromium Repeater)

-Delta LMT (Light Metal Target)

-Delta LMR (Light Metal Repeater)

-Delta LTT (Light Tube-stock Target)

-Delta LTR (Light Tube-stock Repeater)

-The Delta NCT. Single shot receiver, a massive tool steel unit with reduced openings. This model has 3 bedding screws, the front and rear ones being also at Remington S.A spacing, the third one being situated 1.500’ (38,10mm) behind the front one. This one is countersink to allow fitting of a ‘belly” spigot acting as a recoil lug, or used as a 3rd bedding point when bedded in the fleXibloc bedding system for instance.

 -The Delta NCR. Repeater, receiver made from same tool steel. This model has an integral recoil lug positioned as the classic Remington one. This design had allowed for both models the adoption of a longer internal threaded length for barrel shank, with one cylindrical register, close to the INCH principle of barrel centering and interchange.

Both models are 34,50mm outside diameter (1.368’).

 -The Delta LMT/Delta LMR Lightweight receiver, made of 7075 T6 aluminium using at front a specific high-grade tool steel insert performing the important functions of bolting and barrel fitting and fixed into the receiver in a permanent and non-removable fashion. This combination of characteristics allow a very lightweight action with all the decorative finishes the aluminium alloy hard surface treatments permit.. Those lightweight receivers are 38mm (1.496’) in diameter, but represent a considerable weight saving.

Bedding screws are also 3 for the Single Shot model, and 2 Bedding screws for the repeater with Integrated front recoil lug.

Congratulations to the South African Palma Team for their performance in

the World Long Range Palma Match with the CG INCH.

Congratulations to Andre Du Toit, winner of the 2011 World Individual Long Range - U25 with a score of 723-68 which also gave him a silver medal medal in the World Individual Long Range - Open. 

His prize was a CG INCH rifle wich included, barrel from PAC NOR, complete accessory package from Midway USA, Goliath front sight from X-treme Shooting, rear sight and iris' from Centra
